PURCHASE ORDERS AND CONTRACTS

CONTRACTS

All contracts entered into by the LaSalle Parish School Board shall follow the LaSalle Parish School Board policy DJE, Purchasing, where applicable, and the laws pertinent to state and federal agencies.

The Superintendent shall have authority to execute all contracts in an amount equal to or less than $15,000.00 for the LaSalle Parish School board.  Contracts in excess of $15,000 but less than $50,000shall be presented to the Finance Committee for review prior to execution by the Superintendent.  All contracts of $50,000.00 or more shall be presented to the Finance Committee and the full School Board for approval following review by legal counsel.

Alternatively, contracts for copiers, Coca-Cola, yearbook, and Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) sports may be executed by the business manager, appropriate supervisor, or principal as designated by the Superintendent.  Following execution of these contracts, a copy must be submitted to the Superintendent who will maintain a file of all contracts.
