The LaSalle Parish School Board met in Regular Session on the above date with the following members present:

The following board member was absent:
The meeting was called to order by the President, Mr. Jonny Fryar.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by our 2022-2023 J.PSalle Parish Student of Year Winners; Ceanna Bendani, Rylee Masters and Peyton Todd.
On a motion by Mrs. McCartney, seconded by Mr. Pendarvis the Board approved a motion to recognize Honorable Steve Andrews, LaSalle Parish Clerk of Court, as he administers the Oath of Office to newly elected and re-elected School Board Members for LaSalle Parish School District.
On a motion by Mr. Worthington, seconded by Mr. Pendarvis the Board approve a motion to recognize Mr. Slick Joiner, for a presentation of the LaSalle Parish Student of Year Winners for 2022-2023 school year.

On a motion by Mrs. Mayo, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board voted to accept
On a motion by Mr. Fryar, seconded by Mrs. Lasiter the Board voted to accept nominations for Vice-President, Mrs. D'Juana McCartney nominated Mr. Dolan Pendarvis no other nominations were offered. Mr. Pendarvis will become the Vice-President for 2023.
On a motion by Mr. Worthington, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board voted to cease nominations and seat the new Board Vice-President, Mr. Dolan Pendarvis.
On a motion by Mrs. McCartney, seconded by Mr. Book the Board approve a motion to approve the minutes of the last meeting held on December 5, 2022, as reproduced and distributed.
On a motion by Mrs. Mayo, seconded by Mr. Pendarvis the Board approved a motion approve the revised Job Description for the position of Apples Paraprofessional. (See Attachment).
On a motion by Mr. Fryar, seconded by Mrs. T asiter the Board approved a motion to approve out of state travel for Brandy Brunson and Tish Taylor to attend the iReady Southeast Success and Innovation Symposium in Kissimme, Florida on January 29- Ferbuaryl, 20023. To be paid through iReady and Title II funds (pending approval)
On a motion by Mrs. McCartney, seconded by Mrs. Lasiter the Board approved a motion to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding between Access Health Louisiana, and LaSalle Parish School Board to operate School Based Health centers at Public Schools in LaSalle Parish. (As recommended by the Finance Committee).
On a motion by Mr. Corley, seconded by Mrs. Mayo the Board approved a motion to enter into an Agreement between access Health Louisiana, Christus Health Central Louisiana and LaSalle Parish School Board. (As recommended by the Finance Committee).
On a motion by Mr. Fryar, seconded by Mr. Book the Board approved a motion to accept the quote from Black Bayou in the amount of $18, 000.00, for fencing on the LHS Softball field (As recommended by the Finance Committee).
On a motion by Mrs. Mayo, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board approved a motion to receive the personnel report as recommended by the Superintendent. (See Attachment).

RESIGNATION
LaSasha Dean, Teacher at Jena Elementary hereby submits her letter of resignation effective January 9, 2023.
Ashley Church, Teacher at Jena High hereby submits her letter of resignation effective January 4, 2023.
Melissa Barton, Special Ed. Para at Olla Elementary, hereby submits letter of resignation effective January 4, 2023.
NEW EMPLOYEE
Employ Hannah Nelson, Teacher at Jena Elementary School effective January 9, 2023. (Replacing LaSasha Dean).
On a motion by Mr. Bethard, seconded by Mr. Book the Board approved a motion to recognize Melinda Edwards and Jenene Bignar to provide an overall review of the LaSalle Parish School Board Social Emotional and Behavioral Supports. (See Attachment).
On a motion by Mr. Book, seconded by Mr. Bethard the Board approved a motion to recognize Janet Tullos, Superintendent to make a presentation to outgoing President Mr. Jonny Fryar.
On a motion by Mr. Worthington, seconded by Mrs. Lasiter the Board approved a motion to approve the Proclamation issued by the Louisiana School Boards Association declaring January 2023 as local School Board Member Recognition Month in the State of Louisiana.
On a motion make by Mr. Fryar, seconded by Mr. Book the Board approved a motion to approve the Louisiana School Boards Association Code of Conduct for Louisiana School Board Members. (See Attachment)
On a motion by Mr. Corley, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board voted to adjourn.
