The LaSalle Parish School Board met in Regular Session on the above date with the following members present:

The meeting was called to order by the President, Buddy Bethard.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Bethard.

On a motion by Mrs. Paul, seconded by Mr. Worthington the Board voted to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 3, 2021 as reproduced and distributed.

On a motion by Mrs. Stott, seconded by Mrs. Cooksey the Board voted to approve a motion to convene a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 5:30 PM, for the purposes of conducting fiscal year end business.

On a motion by Mrs. Paul seconded by Mr. Reeves the Board approved a motion to postpone the Regular July Board Meeting from Monday, July 5, 2021 to Monday, July 12, 2021.

On a motion by Mr. Worthington, seconded by Mr. Pendarvis the Board approved a motion to recognize the LaSalle Parish Teachers of the Year for 2021-2022 school year:

A.            Elementary School — Heather Spence (GPMS)

B.            Middle School           - Wendell Callender (LJHS)

C.            High School                - Dr. Patrick Willis (JHS)

On a motion by Mr. Book, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board approved a motion to receive the Personnel Report, as recommended by the Superintendent.

On a motion by Mrs. McCartney seconded by Mrs. Paul Item # 8 was Tabled to a later date.

On a motion by Mr. Book seconded by Mrs. Stott the Board approved a motion to approve the Performance Standards and two (2) year contract of Stephanie Francis, Principal at Nebo Elementary School, commencing August 1, 2021 and ending July 31, 2023 (as recommended by the Superintendent) See Attachment #9.

On a motion by Mrs. McCartney seconded by Mrs. Cooksey the Board approved a motion to approve the Performance Standards and two (2) year contract of Rhonda Russell, Principal at Olla Elementary School, commencing August 1, 2021 and ending July 31, 2023 (as recommended by the Superintendent) See Attachment #10.

On a motion by Mr. Worthington seconded by Mrs. Paul the Board approved a motion to approve the Performance Standards and two (2) year contract of Malacha Harris, Assistant Principal at Olla Elementary School, commencing August 1, 2021 and ending July 31, 2023 (as recommended by the Superintendent) See Attachment #11.

On a motion by Mr. Book seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board approved a motion to approve the Performance Standards and two (2) year contract of Greg Jones, Assistant Principal at LaSalle High School, commencing August 1, 2021 and ending July 31, 2023 (as recommended by the Superintendent) See Attachment #12.

On a motion by Mr. Pendarvis, seconded by Mrs. Stott the Board voted to accept insurance quotes from Risk Services of Louisiana on the following proposals for insurance coverage for the 2021-2022 fiscal year (as recommended by the Finance Committee).

(1)               General Liability, Auto Liability, Auto Physical Damage, and Cyber Suite Coverage from Property Casualty

(2)               Property insurance from Westchester, Arch Specialty, and Homeland; Equipment Breakdown from Liberty Mutual;

(3)               Crime Insurance from Travelers; and

(0)    Workers' Compensation Insurance from Accident Fund.

On a motion by Mrs. Paul, seconded by Mr. Reeves the Board approved a motion to appoint the Jena Times/O11a Tullos Signal as the Official Journal for the LaSalle Parish School Board for the time period beginning July 1, 2021 ending June 30, 2022.

On a motion by Mr. Book, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board Adopted a Resolution to levy millages on all property subject to taxation by the LaSalle Parish School Board for 2021.

On a motion by Mrs. Paul, seconded by Mr. Pendarvis the Board voted to advertise for Fiscal Agent proposals for the 2021-2022 school year.

On a motion by Mrs. McCartney seconded by Mr. Pendarvis the Board approved a motion to discuss the use of Jena High School Gym by Hamilton Church of Christ beginning on June 19, 2021 ending June 25, 2021 for purposes of overnight lodging. After discussion the motion failed.

On a motion by Mr. Pendarvis, seconded by Mrs. Stott the Board approved a motion to enter into a standard lease with Tonya Phipps/Glory Bound Cloggers for the use of the Jena High School Gym for a clogging recital on Friday, May 28, 2021.

On a motion by Mrs. McCartney, seconded by Mr. Book the board approved a motion To authorize payment of the June Sales Tax Supplement as follows: Degreed Personnel (position requires a degree) in the amount of $5,449.78, and Non-Degreed Personnel (position does not require a degree) in the amount of $3,814.78 (as recommended by the Finance Committee).

On a motion by Mr. Pendarvis, seconded the Board voted to suspend the rules to add items to the agenda;

On a motion by Mr. Pendarvis, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board approved a motion to increase salaries for Apple tutors working during the Summer Learning Program in June 2021 to be paid as follows: $20.00/per hour to be paid through the Homeless Grant (as recommended by the Finance Committee.

On a motion by Mrs. Paul, seconded by Mr. Book the Board approved a motion to increase salaries for Cafeteria workers, working during the Summer Learning Program in June 2021 to be paid as follows: $20.00/per hour to be paid through the Lunch Fund (as recommended by the Finance Committee)

On a motion by Mrs. Stott seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board approved a motion to

suspend the rules add an item to the agenda.

On a motion by Mrs. Stott, seconded by Mrs. Cooksey the Board approved a motion to pay school bus drivers working during the 2021 Summer Learning and Summer Library Program $50.00/route. Reason: Previous board approval was for Summer Learning transportation to be paid from ESSER funds which were later denied by LDOE.

On a motion by Mrs. Paul, seconded by Mr. Worthington the Board approved a motion to adopt a Resolution to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Hardtner Medical Center and to contract with LVMA Telehealth Network to provide telehealth services to Olla Elementary, LaSalle Jr. High and LaSalle High Schools for a period of three (3) years beginning with the 2021-2022 school year.

On a motion by Mrs. Paul, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board voted to adjourn. Meeting adjourned.
