The LaSalle Parish School Board met in Regular Session on the above date with the following members present:

Mr. Justin Reeves

Mr. Dolan Pendarvis

            The Parish School Board of the Parish of LaSalle, state of Louisiana, was duly convened by Mrs. Virgie Wilson, who then stated that the Parish School board was ready to transact business which may come before the Board.

            Mr. Jonny Fryar gave the opening prayer. The Pledge of Allegiance was done together.

            On a motion by Mr. Fryar, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board voted to approve the minutes of the Regular and Special Meetings held in June 2018.as reproduced and distributed.

            On a motion by Mr. Worthington, seconded by Mrs. Paul the Board voted to receive the Personnel report as recommended by the Superintendent.

            On a motion by Mr. Bethard, seconded by Mrs. Paul the Board voted to appoint Glen Joiner, as Supervisor of the Maintenance/Transportation Department as recommended by the Superintendent.

            On a motion by Mr. Fryar, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board voted to approve the Performance Standards and a two (2) year contract of Glen Joiner as Supervisor of Transportation and maintenance Department commencing on July 2, 2018 and ending June 30, 2020.

            On a motion by Mr. Worthington, seconded by Mr. Bethard the Board voted to advertise for the position of Principal at Jena High School beginning on July 5, 2018. Applications can be picked up at the LaSalle Parish School Board Office.

            On a motion by Mr. Bethard, seconded by Mr. Worthington the board voted to accept the bid from Southern Heritage Bank for fiscal Agent for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

            On a motion by Mr. Bethard, seconded by Mrs. McCartney the Board voted  to accept the bid from Bayou State Construction, in the amount of $98,700.00, for repairs to the bathrooms at olla Elementary school and LaSalle Jr. High School

            On a motion by Mr. Bethard, seconded by Mrs. Paul the Board voted to adjourn.

            The meeting was closed with prayer by Mr. Bethard.
